Workshop: Moku Hanga: Japanese Waterbase Woodcut
April Vollmer is doing an intensive weekend workshop at Cabrillo College. The course will cover the basics of this traditional waterbase technique. Japanese woodblock differs from western woodblock in that it is waterbase and non-toxic, it is printed with a hand-held baren, and it is printed on handmade Japanese kozo fiber paper.
