Otto Dix Retrospective

I was surprised that the New York Times review of the Otto Dix retrospective (at the Neue Galerie through August 30th) did not mention that he is among the artists who continued to work after suffering a stroke. It was in 1967, two years before his death. As result of the stroke, Dix’s drawing style was radically altered. Some information is included in Karger’s Neurological Disorders In Famous Artists: Part 2. I don’t find that volume on Amazon.com, but there are listings for Neurological Disorders In Famous Artists (Frontiers of Neurology and Neuroscience) and the not yet released Neurological Disorders in Famous Artists: Pt. 3 (Frontiers of Neurology and Neuroscience). The NYT review also includes images from the exhibition.
